Shasta Family YMCA to offer Project Power
A Diabetes Lifestyle Change Program
The Shasta Family YMCA is excited to partner with the American Diabetes Association to bring Project Power to our community. The program raises diabetes awareness and offers diabetes risk reduction education to people with diabetes and prediabetes.
The no-cost, 12-week program promotes healthy lifestyles, healthy eating, and increased physical activity with an easy to use app. Health care provider coaches will work closely with participants in a small group setting to help them break old habits, create new ones, set attainable goals, and keep them motivated.
Program participants will receive a wireless scale, activity tracker, as well as other program supplies and incentives. Project Power will be offered remotely, so you can choose the best day and time to participate. For more information, see flyer on Project Power.
Registration for the program is from June 1-22, and it will start in July. Please reach out to Sharon Howland/Shasta Family YMCA at 530-246-9622-Ext.115 or email showland@sfymca.org for questions or to register.
